Do I need to enable 'pop ups'? What if I have a pop-up blocker?

Problem

Do I need to enable 'pop ups'? What if I have a pop-up blocker?
Description

Pop Ups Enabled

To use the full functionality of the uefa.com site, you will need to enable pop-ups (new browser windows). By default, Internet Explorer on Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and Vista blocks pop-ups and will require you to switch this functionality off if you want to allow them. Alternatively, you may wish to just add uefa.com as an allowed site for pop-ups.
Solution or Suggested Action

To switch off the pop-up blocker:

  • Go to "Tools | Internet Options..." from the main Internet Explorer menu
  • Change to the "Privacy" tab
  • Un-select "Block pop-ups" under Pop-up Blocker
  • Restart the browser

To allow uefa.com sites to use pop-ups:

  • Go to "Tools | Internet Options..." from the main Internet Explorer menu
  • Change to the "Privacy" tab
  • Click on 'Settings' under Pop-up Blocker
  • Type *.uefa.com under 'Address of Web site to allow (Please note the use of an asterix in *.uefa.com) then click Add and then Close
  • Click 'OK' and restart the browser

Please note: if after doing the above steps, you are still showing popups as blocked on the system checker page, then you may have a third party popup blocker, such as a Yahoo or Google toolbar, or as part of an anti-virus program (Mcafee or Norton, for example). Please refer to your program documentation on how to switch off third party blockers.
