Internet Explorer 7 (IE7)
- Problem
I am experiencing problems using Internet Explorer 7
- Description
The site was designed to work in, and support, Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) and Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) on current versions of Microsoft Windows (We currently do not support Windows 7). If you are using Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) pre-release beta version (beta, platform preview or release candidate), you may notice functional and rendering differences. Some rendering differences may affect your ability to proceed through certain functionality contained within the uefa.com site.
We recommend using the latest full versions Internet Explorer 6 or Internet Explorer 7 if you experience any issues.
If you installed a pre-release version of IE8 in a non-test environment, or need to be aware of certain behavioural differences, you should be aware of the changes in functionality, which can be viewed at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-gb/ie/aa740486.aspx
- Solution or Suggested Action
SSL/TLS Changes -When navigating to a secure site in Windows Vista or IE7, you might encounter a connection failure error page if the server does not yet support the newer TLS standard (this may give the impression of a blank page, no response, or 'hanging' - noticeable when logging on, or sending authorisation details). To work around this problem, open Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, click Internet Options, click the Advanced tab, clear the Use TLS v1.0 check box, and then click OK. Most sites support rollback to SSL 3 and shouldn't present the user with this problem.
Script Errors (which may or may not be visible) - To resolve this script error, open Internet Explorer IE7, click the Tools button, click Internet Options, click the Advanced tab, clear the Enable native XMLHTTP support check box, and then click OK.
You will need to close ALL IE7 windows and restart the browser for these changes to take effect.
