From what countries/regions can I access Live Streaming and VoD?- Description
You can access Video on Demand from any country. However, availability of Live Streaming for specific matches may vary from region to region, depending on local broadcaster rights. In these circumstances, you will be able to see the matches available to your region prior to the game by visiting the Live Streaming section of the uefa.com site.
Unfortunately, if your local broadcaster hasn't picked up the rights to show any Champions League and Europa League live matches, you will only be able to to view the match after it has finished via the Replay (Video on Demand) service. You will be presented with a message similar to 'Sorry. This content is blocked for your region' if you try to view Live content in a region where no broadcaster has the rights to show the game Live.
Geo-specific content
Your internet address may also affect how content is presented to you. Each internet address (IP address) is usually allocated in blocks to Internet Service Providers who, in turn, assign them to users in a given geographic location when they connect to the internet. Some internet services may use your IP address as a way of identifying which country you are therefore connecting from.
Geo-targetting
video.uefa.com uses your IP address to target Champions League and Europa League live matches that you are able to watch in your locale, by determining your country from your IP address. If no broadcaster in your region has the rights to stream the match live, you will still be able to watch the match shortly after the game has finished via the uefa.com video Video-on-Demand service.
